Look Out Gamers, Star Citizen Alpha 3.0 Is Near
So it seems the latest build for Star Citizen Alpha is finally here, the long wait is over. unfortunately, the 3.0 build won’t be available to everyone, and most likely won’t for some time.
Why do we say “finally here”? well, that’s due to the fact that it’s only the first external phase of testing from The Evocatti Test Flight, a supergroup of Star Citizen members who are under NDA and are not able to speak publically on what they are doing.
Thanks to a repost from Reddit onto the Evocati Test Flight forums, the arrival of Star Citizen Alpha 3.0 was announced. “We’re absolutely thrilled to announce that an early version of 3.0 is now available for the Evocati Test Flight on PTU [Public Test Universe],” – Reddit Post.

For the time being the supergroup will most likely continue their testing for some weeks, finding and identifying different bugs. But, we can hope to see the Alpha 3.0 build eventually change from it’s restricted PTU testing, and slowly open its availability to more players. After everything has been properly set up, we can assume that Cloud Imperium will be available to everyone.
The Price for a Starter Package is $45, practically the same amount as a new game. But still, Chris Roberts had this to say “Star Citizen’s price may go up a little bit after 3.0 arrives.” So, we can assume that that would be all we needed to pay unless we want to pay for more.
